Lions Park is Shakopee's largest and most beloved community park, spanning nearly 40 acres in the heart of the city. It is home to some of the community's most-used recreation destinations, including SandVenture Aquatic Park — a summer staple for over 50 years — an inclusive splash pad, an 18-hole disc golf course, two open-air rentable shelters, and a log cabin available for private gatherings. The Fun For All Playground, completed in 2016, was built to surpass ADA requirements and designed to meet the social, sensory, cognitive, and emotional needs of children of all ages and abilities — with wheelchair-friendly paths, a rubber play surface, shade structures, and thoughtful elevation changes throughout.
